We
are "Unique"... offering a product line of African American greeting cards that
reflects African American culture and Americana at its best. The line also
includes poetry magnets, a book, prints, and t-shirts. You'll find our
greeting cards refreshing, because they always leave you thinking about the
message. The product line is called "Life's Notes Collection™".
All the products including the African American greeting cards reflect what we all have in common...family
...faith...hope and dreams. The line will continue to grow and offer a
variety of products that celebrate the rich tapestry of African American
culture and Americana.
"Life's
Notes Collection™" was first inspired by our founder, Kenna Patrice
Parker’s first book, "Life's Notes, A Viewpoint From Blackness".
A thought provoking collection of vignettes (poetry), a short story and
quotes. This book follows the path of great writers like, James Baldwin,
Langston Hughes, and Dr.
Maya Angelou to
name a few. As you read you may reflect and think of another great play
that explored African American women and their struggles, "For
Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide/When the Rainbow Is Enuf", by
Ntozake
Shange. Ms.
Parker played Lady in Orange at LSU in Baton Rouge her Freshman year.
This was another moment in her life where she was reminded of the power of art
and its impact to make people stop and listen. "Life's
Notes, A Viewpoint From Blackness" is that kind of book and very soon
will be on stage giving the audience a reason to listen.
